landfill park restroom
This building is located in a former county landfill which has been converted into a park. The toilet building has been located in front of a children’s playground acting as an entrance element. Laminated wood timbers and wood decking were utilized to provide a natural materials that would compliment the park setting. The walls are ground faced concrete block, providing durability, ease of maintenance and a surface that is vandal resistant while being economical. This project was completed while Dan Huffman, AIA was a principal at Cherry Huffman Architects (now RATIO Architects).
